Property information: Unit details, addresses, rent amounts, lease terms, and photos uploaded by landlords.
Payment information: Payment method details are collected and processed by Stripe. Sunstead does not store card numbers or bank account details directly.
Usage data: Pages visited, features used, and interaction patterns to improve the Service.
Maintenance data: Descriptions, photos, and AI-generated triage information for maintenance requests.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide and maintain the Service
- Process rent payments and generate receipts
- Send notifications (payment reminders, maintenance updates, announcements)
- Generate AI-powered insights and recommendations
- Produce documents (leases, notices, reports)
- Improve the Service and develop new features
- Communicate with you about your account
3. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services that may process your data:
- Supabase — Database hosting and authentication
- Stripe — Payment processing
- Resend — Transactional email delivery
- OpenAI — AI features (maintenance triage, photo analysis, financial insights)
- Vercel — Application hosting
Each service has its own privacy policy. We only share the minimum data necessary for each service to function.
4. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS), row-level security on database queries, organization-level data isolation, and secure authentication via Supabase Auth. We regularly review our security practices.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., financial records, tax documentation). Anonymized usage data may be retained indefinitely.
